Becoming Skilled at the Art of Catholic Self-Defense.  It can indeed be an art to know how to answer questions or defend your faith when you are a Catholic.  This presentation will cover some skills that might be helpful when you are "attacked" for being Catholic.  We'll also talk about some resources or plans for getting to the answers for those times that you realize you really don't know the answers.

Young Adult Picnic - Sunday, July 9th @ 2:00pm July 7, 2006

Filed under: Special Event — Eric The Tired @ 1:06 am
I've mentioned this previously, but this is going to be a great event so I'm here to remind you.

Hunger and Lumen Gentium are throwing a picnic and all young adults ages 18-29 are invited. There's going to be volleyball, soccer, young adults your age, bean bag toss, Frisbees, and more. We're serving hot dogs and you're more than welcome to bring something as well. Following that is a LIFETEEN Mass at 6:30pm, and an evening of prayer to wrap it all up.

It's being held over in the grass next to the Parish Offices (Catacombs).

Just post a comment here or email us to RSVP. Don't forget your name and let us know if you're bringing anybody.

Changes Afoot July 3, 2006

Filed under: Business as Usual — Eric The Tired @ 6:08 am

Hungerstuff.com will be undergoing some changes; moving servers, changing blog platforms, etc. While this is mostly behind the scenes there are a few major changes to expect.

Most Important: Instead of www.hungerstuff.com just redirecting you to hungeryam.blogspot.com it has it’s very own hosting. This means that if you have saved it as a favorite place you need to add it again, and if you currently subscribe to us with a feed-reader of some sort you’ll need to update that as well.

These changes are being implemented to better serve you, but during this transitional time the site may face some service blackouts, and general odd behavior. We thank-you for your patience and continued involvement with Hunger.

Peace,
Eric
