Real Map to the Catacombs June 27, 2006

There’s an old joke that goes something like this…

Why did the Israelites wander the desert for 40 years?
Because Moses wouldn’t stop and ask directions!

I’ve added a link to the sidebar which takes you to a “real”, but technically incorrect map of the Catacombs. You may be asking yourself, “Has Eric finally lost it? What makes this map both right and wrong?”
The Catacombs are part of the parish offices located at 530 Glen Ave, but when you look up that address on a map you’re pointed to the backside of the church not the offices. In order to get a map that sends you straight to the Catacombs’ front door you need to enter 558 Glen Ave. It’s odd but it’s useful when you’re helping friends find their way to a Hunger event.

The new link on the sidebar uses Google Maps, but here are a few other mapping services in case you’re more familiar with them.

Yahoo Maps
Mapquest
(With Yahoo & Mapquest 548 Glen Ave is needed)

Lumen (The Hispanic Young Adult Group) and Hunger are having a picnic! It’s taking place on Sunday, July 9th, at 2:00pm next to the Catacombs. There’s going to be soccer, volleyball, bean bag toss, young adults your age, hot dogs, and more.

To keep things organized (make sure teams are even, etc) we’d like to know if you want to play soccer or volleyball ahead of time. We’d also love your help with any of the events, which includes the food.

Please email us at contact@hungerstuff.com, be sure to provide your name and which sport you’d like to participate in or event you’d like to help with. You can also call us. Contact numbers for Hunger or Lumen can be found in the church bulletin.

We can’t wait to see you there!!

Hey everybody,

I know there has been an intense lack of updates lately, but don’t worry that’s about to change. With some basic improvements to the technological and administrative side of things, updates should come around quicker and more often.
